Bay-Friendly
Be Green

Make a difference in the world. Begin in your own backyard. Gardening at home supports your commitment to the environment by reducing our dependence on foreign oil - your food is grown locally.

Your garden provides safe habitat and pollutant free food to our pollinators - bees, birds and butterflies.

Organic methods protect our waters and a healthy seafood industry which is crucial to our local economy. Herbicides and pesticides contaminate our local rivers, the Chesapeake Bay and our drinking water supply. Excess lawn fertilizers are responsible for that algae bloom (green slime) that you see on your neighborhood streams and ponds. That algae uses up the oxygen that fish need to live.

Why homegrown?
Flavor and Health

Home-grown vegetables, fruit and herbs just taste better. They are rich in anti-oxidents, flavonoids and biotins and have higher levels of vitamins and minerals. We use natural pest controls to insure the safety of your family and pets. You won't need to buy, store or handle toxic pesticides to have a bountiful harvest.

Our Mission

is to provide our clients, community, country and planet with all the benefits of gardening organically.
Your Own Victory Garden
Fresh, local produce - steps from your door

We'll convert an unused portion of your yard into a healthy earth-friendly garden full of delicious produce. Your garden can be as small as 4 foot by 4 foot. We can even create your garden in containers on your porch or patio. All you need is 7 hours of direct sunlight a day.

After the initial cost of installing the garden, we charge a modest fee to maintain the garden on a weekly basis.

We do the work
You reap the benefits

At the same time, you become an integral part of healing our over-taxed planet, contributing to our vibrant community, and building the local economy.

We design, build, plant and mulch your garden. The raised beds not only look good, they keep your high quality topsoil and premium compost in place. We install drip irrigation to conserve water. We then schedule weekly visits to maintain your garden - we weed, water, feed, tend your compost pile, harvest and leave a basket of your produce at your door.

After early crops have been harvested, we replant with mid and late season crops to extend your harvest into the autumn months. We compost the organic debris as we remove spent plants and prune for peak production. We put your garden to bed for the winter and wake her up in time for mid-February planting.

Already Existing Gardens
We convert and maintain

Have you already planted your vegetables but can't find the time to keep up with weeding and watering?

Are you worried about the pesticides and fertilizers you are using?

We'll step in and convert your standard garden into a natural garden using green methods and we'll take over the weekly maintenance.

If you would enjoy the pleasure of tending your own garden, we can teach you the techniques and tasks that insure a healthy harvest and a truly satisfying gardening experience.
